Timekeeper
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly detailed payroll reports and distribute to applicable team members
- Maintain a current list of timecard approvers
- Create and Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for all payroll functions
- Edit payroll records per supervisors' requests while adhering to policy
- File and maintain payroll records
- Assist in payroll audits as needed
- Work closely with Human Resources to determine the correct actions for certain payroll-related concerns
- Handle all payroll issues concerning clock times, schedules, union, and other areas as needed
- Work on temporary labor hours and other data if needed
- Perform accounting duties as assigned
- Design and complete miscellaneous accounting projects for Accounting Manager as needed
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous timekeeping / payroll experience required
- Ability to work on a proactive basis in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Must be able to set goals and meet deadlines
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interest in payroll policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and interest in accounting practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and people skills in general
- Ability to communicate and work closely with Accounting Manager regarding critical/urgent issues
- SAP and Kronos experience
- Strong Excel experience and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office software required
- Strong leadership skills
- Professional phone skills and demeanor
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
