  • Pay is $16.55/hour - 3rd Shift 

    POSITION SUMMARY:  
    The primary responsibility of this position is to complete daily paperwork, ensuring that all HACCP and SSOP’s are met.
  • Effective communication skills in oral and written formats 
  • Understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing 
  • Must meet the following physical requirements with or without accommodations: 
  • Repetitive motion includes full extension of arms to shoulder height.  
  • Repetitive elbow, wrist, hand and finger motion.   
  • Must be able to lift a maximum 70 lbs. not less than 30 times per 4.5-hour period from floor level to a maximum height of 6 feet.   
  • Job includes standing for at least 4.5 hours within a work area, or walking distances longer than 100 feet covering an area that exceeds 50,000 square feet 
  • Must withstand a damp to dusty work area with a temperature range of 35 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of 10 hours. 
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions listed below with or without accommodations: 
  • Verification of Analytical Test Results. 
  • Each month 15 samples of each product will be tested with the current analytical testing methods available. A duplicate sample will be sent to an approved third party laboratory for analysis using AOCS and/or AOAC approved methods. Each quarter these results may be used for biasing and/or calibrations as necessary. 
  • ID any foreign material that can be identified to a specific Pilgrim’s facility. 
  • ID and label any rework held in the facility. 
  • Qualified Individuals (QIs) are responsible for the overall cleanliness of the plant in addition to equipment such as lab, equipment, sample storage and utensils/tools 
  • Raw materials that have been adulterated will be rejected and disposed of properly. 
  • When product quality or safety is in question for unprocessed, in-process, or finished product the potentially affected material will be segregated and placed on hold. It is vitally important that these documents are complete and accurate. The raw material inspection form is the foundation of the traceability process. 
  • Verify all unloaded raw material is processed within 4 hours. 
  • Record temperature of storage coolers 
  • Participate in bi-annual mock recalls 
  • Other duties as required 
 SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Previous experience in QA preferred but not required
  • Must read, write and speak English
  • Basic math skills 
  • Detailed oriented 
  • Able to lift and/or move 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work walking/standing for long periods of time 
  • Good interpersonal relation skills 
  • Dependable, prompt and willing to work overtime when necessary 
  • Above average work record 
  • Above average attendance record
 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.  Must pass a math skill test.
